We move homes and offices from our Sigra, Varanasi office to Kolkata: about 680 km by road on NH-19 (the Grand Trunk Road) through Aurangabad, Dhanbad, Asansol and Durgapur — roughly 12–14 hours of driving.
How the move works
A Varanasi–Kolkata move is a long haul, so packing matters more than on a local shift. Every carton is labelled by room, furniture is wrapped in stretch film over bubble wrap, and the inventory list is signed at loading and checked at delivery.
- Free survey in Varanasi, in person or on a WhatsApp video call
- Written quote listing packing, transport, unloading and any extras
- Packing and loading by our own crew on the agreed date
- Inventory list signed at loading and checked at delivery
- Unloading and re-assembly of furniture at the new address in Kolkata, Howrah, Salt Lake or New Town
- Optional transit insurance up to ₹5 lakh*
Planning the Kolkata end
Goods vehicles face daytime entry limits in parts of Kolkata, and many older buildings in north and central Kolkata have narrow lanes and no lift. Tell us the floor, lift and parking at the new address during the survey so we can plan the unloading time and crew size.
From June to September, humid and rainy weather on the route calls for extra plastic sheeting on wooden furniture, mattresses and cartons — we include it in the packing for monsoon moves.
Price
We quote inter-city moves only after a survey, because the volume of goods changes the price more than anything else. Ask for a written quote; it lists every charge so there are no additions on moving day.
